It looks, sounds, feels like a Terrence Malick film but it is not him, he is just producing it. The director is A.J. Edwards who has worked with Malick in the past as an editor and an AD thus the similar approach to story telling and visuals.
I love the fact that the film is black and white and stars the beautiful Brit Marling, Jason Clarke, Diane Kruger and Wes Bentley. It tells the story of a young Abe Lincoln and what he went through as a kid to shape him as a man who becomes an influential President.
