Matthew Vaughan has a 100% record in our opinion. He has tackled a variety of action genres including Guy Ritchie style Cockney gangster film in Layer Cake, the world of magic in Stardust (yes it was good), the hardcore R rated Kick – Ass, the big comic book franchise reboot X-Men: First Class.
Now he tries his hand at the action adventure genre with Kingsman: The Secret Service. Colin Firth stars as a James Bondish type spy with some pretty cool gadgets who recruits a young chap similar to what Tommy Lee Jones did with Will Smith in Men In Black. The good news is Samuel L Jackson plays the bad guy with a lisp that itself should be enough to pay up.
