What’s not to love about Brendan Gleeson. Ever since he has gone back to his Irish roots he has been starring in gems including In Bruges, Guard and now Calvary. He reteams with director John Michael McDonagh in Dublin, Ireland where Gleeson stars as a priest and is giving a week to live when someone comes into his confession box.
Calvary apparently is a place outside Jerusalem’s walls where Jesus was crucified. Going by McDonagh’s record the film will use black humor to question faith and believe in Christ which makes it even more interesting.
